Safety at the crossroads

In 2020, the state rebuilt Route 100 and Westchester County took the opportunity to improve access to the busy North County Trailway and Empire State Trail. But one access point is a crosswalk in the middle of a 55 mph zone where drivers, pedestrians and cyclists have to figure out who has the right of way. Here’s my story on my efforts to bring some safety improvements to this crossing.
